“Jirka and I have known each other for a long time. When he was 19 and I was 26, we played together in the second league in Neratovice and our friendship continues to this day,” recalled the coach.
“If he works here, I expect that we will have a lot of debates about football together – for example, about what positions we want to strengthen in the winter. His experience from Slavia will be a huge benefit for us,” added Trousil.
The arrival of the former sports director of Slavia in eastern Bohemia was already confirmed by Sport.cz during the week. Bílek should take up the new position from the beginning of the year.
The changes thus fit into the ambitious vision that was created in Pardubice after the entry of the new owner, Karel Pražák. In addition to the football club, he also owns the ice hockey club Sparta. It is Bílek who is supposed to lead the negotiations on the winter reinforcements that will arrive in Trousil’s team.
“We are looking for players in the Czech Republic and abroad. We send tips and discuss them with the scouts. We want to be flexible in the formation – both with four and with five defenders. We would like to bring at least one stopper and a wingback. A central player or a striker would also be suitable. But I am not naive that we will write down eight names and all eight will arrive,” smiled the coach.
“If we manage to bring in three players, of which at least two are more experienced, we will be satisfied. We have young guys who are hardworking, but they need to learn from someone,” he added.

In recent days, there has also been speculation about the possible arrival of Vlasij Siňavskij from Bohemians, who would meet with national team colleague Rob Saarma in Pardubice.
“I don’t know if it’s him. I don’t want to be specific, now we’re mainly dealing with the posts we need to fill. The names are another matter,” Trousil responded.
At the same time, he described what he expects from potential reinforcements. “We have very high-quality players on the list, but since I’ve been in football for a long time, I eliminate some straight away. Character is key for me. I want a good cabin where no one will cause problems. I don’t want a player who will be angry if he doesn’t start two games,” concluded the coach from Pardubice.
