France won the friendly international tournament in Metz by dominating Paraguay (4-1), Sunday December 21 in Lorraine.
The French futsal team won the international tournament in Metz thanks to its victory over Paraguay (4-1), Sunday December 21. Trailing at the start of the match, they were able to count on the vision of Amine Gueddoura, barely ten selections and author of his first two French goals in one minute, to reverse the score before the break. A third goal from Gueddoura and that of captain Souheil Mouhoudine will carry the Blues to the trophy.
The Blues’ next match will be a France-Hungary friendly, on Sunday January 11, 2026 at CNF Clairefontaine. A France-Belgium will follow on Thursday January 15, six days before their entry into the final phase of Euro 2026 (January 21 to February 7 in Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia), against Croatia in Riga (Latvia).

THE MATCH
After a balanced start to the match, the Paraguayans surprised the French with a quick touch concluded by Hugo Martinez (8th). It took five minutes for the Tricolores to recover and take control on two inspirations from Amine Gueddoura, opening his counter with the Blues with a double (13th and 14th). Completely back in the saddle, they failed to widen the gap by Abdessamad Mohammed, but his penalty was stopped by Giovanni Gonzalez (16th).
They started by managing their advantage in the second half thanks to pressing preventing the South Americans from being truly dangerous. They again failed to increase the score with a lob from Kévin Ramirez pushed back by the bar (30th), only to take cover on a third goal from Gueddoura (34th) – crowned top scorer of the tournament – then his almost exact copy from Souheil Mouhoudine (36th), following two winning pressures from the Tricolores.
THE BREEDER’S REACTION
Raphaël Reynaud: “It’s not the same ending as Friday (4-4 draw against Colombia). We were not “big losers” two days ago but we are not European champions today either. On the other hand, what will enable us to be European champions are performances like this, even if there are obviously plenty of things to improve. We could have done, and we will do, much better by training more together, by being even more of a team. In the meantime, congratulations (to players) for work. This is only the beginning, we continue.”

1-1, Amine Gueddoura (13e) : facing a defender on the left side along the line, Amine Gueddoura fixes him with a hook, refocuses slightly and unleashes a powerful shot from distance to equalize.
2-1, Amine Gueddoura (14e) : Marouane Rezzoug recovers a bell ball on one side after controlling the head, returns to the center and serves low to the ground Amine Gueddoura alone in the heart of the area, who pokes his ball to deceive the goalkeeper who came out to counter it.
