This is the tennis photo of the year – featuring Jasmine Paolini
That’s really no surprise. Because photographer Ray Giubilo’s timing was simply perfect. Catching Jasmine Paolini in such a way that the Italian is looking through the strings in such a way that her eyes shine through the racket logo actually deserves the ITF’s highest award.
In addition to the great honor, the Australian Giubilo was also pleased to receive an amount of 3,000 US dollars.
Second place went to the Frenchman Loic Wacziak, who photographed Corentin Moutet in the La Defense Arena in Paris.
The winners were selected by a jury that included ITF President David Haggerty, two-time Grand Slam winner Garbine Muguruza and legendary German photographer Paul Zimmer.
