Absolute Italian Badminton and Para Badminton Championships at PalaMangano

The Italian Badminton and Para Badminton Championships ended yesterday in Palermo, an event sponsored by CONI, CIP and the Municipality of Palermo, supported by our Sports Office and organized by the Italian Badminton Federation together with the ASD Piume d’Argento.

The final day offered great emotions and several surprises on the scoreboards, both Olympic and Paralympic, with exciting challenges and athletes from all over Italy.

In the Olympic tournament, unexpected eliminations in the men’s singles, while in the women’s the seedings confirmed the predictions.

The doubles matches were also spectacular, with hard-fought finals and non-favoured pairs reaching the final act.

In Para Badminton all the pairings have been defined, with the GSPD derby in the WH2 singles final and a confirmation of the great rivalries in the WH doubles.

Thanks to all the athletes, clubs and volunteers who made this edition special.

A pride for our city to host events of this level! 💛💙
