Padovani Cycling Team Shooting: Italy Attack During Training

The Italian cycling team Sc Padovani Polo Cherry Bank has escaped a tragedy. Cyclists training near Lake Garda last weekend were shot at from a car.

The cycling team, which competes at the lowest professional level, shares images of the incident on their YouTube channel.

The images show a car driving next to a group of cyclists and slowing down. According to the team, two shots are then fired from the window. The riders dive away in fright.

Team boss Galdino Peruzzo reacts shocked to the incident, but is especially happy that no injuries were reported. The team has reported the matter to the police.

“We are relieved that all the boys are safe and well after what happened yesterday. This is a terrible incident that we hope will never happen again.”

“The road is our boys’ training ground and as a club we have taken all necessary measures to ensure their safety. Unfortunately, faced with the madness of certain individuals, there is really nothing we can do.”
