Packers QB: Love Out, Willis to Start

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will not play Saturday night against the Baltimore Ravens, a week after suffering a concussion.

The Packers announced Friday that Love is not fit to return.

The day before, a medical report mentioned his concussion and a problem in his left shoulder.

This will be the first full game Love has missed this season.

Among the Ravens, quarterback Lamar Jackson is a questionable case.

This is due to the back injury he suffered against the New England Patriots last week.

Tyler Huntley, who then replaced Jackson, should replace him again, if necessary.

The Packers’ backup quarterback is Malik Willis, himself a questionable case.

Love suffered his concussion in a collision with the Bears’ Austin Booker last week.

Willis took over and injured his right shoulder (he’s right-handed), on the last play of the fourth quarter. However, he remained on the field for overtime.

The Packers’ only other quarterback is Clayton Tune, who joined the practice squad in late August.

Tune has appeared in 13 games including just one start, in 2023.

The Packers (9-5-1) secured their place in the playoffs on Thursday, via a loss to the Detroit Lions.

They can still improve their ranking, however.

They can earn a section title by winning their final two games, if Chicago loses twice in a row.
