Two matches were played in Group C of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

In the second week of the tournament hosted by Morocco, Nigeria and Tunisia met at the Fez Stadium.

Nigeria won the match 3-2 with the goals scored by Victor Osimhen in the 44th minute, Wilfred Ndidi in the 50th minute and Ademola Lookman in the 67th minute.

Tunisia’s goals came from the penalty scored by Montassar Talbi in the 74th minute and Ali Abdi in the 87th minute.

In the other match of the day, Uganda and Tanzania faced each other in the match played at the Al Medina Stadium in the capital Rabat.

In the match, which ended goalless in the first half, Tanzania took the lead with Simon Msuva’s penalty goal in the 59th minute, while Uganda drew the draw with Uche Ikpeazu’s goal in the 80th minute.

Nigeria, which increased its points to 6 after 2 matches, made it to the last 16 rounds.

Tunisia is in second place with 3 points, Tanzania is in third place with 1 point, and Uganda is in last place with the same points.
