The KNVB announced on Friday where the Dutch team will play the practice matches against Norway and Ecuador in March. The European country will be played in Amsterdam, while the South Americans will be received in Eindhoven.
The KNVB announced earlier this week that the Dutch national team will practice against Norway and Ecuador in the run-up to the 2026 World Cup. The Dutch Football Association did not yet reveal the stadiums in which this will happen. It does on Friday afternoon.
Practice match one is scheduled for March 27, against Norway. That match is in the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam. Four days later, on Tuesday, March 31, the Dutch team will meet its second sparring partner in Ecuador. That match is in the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. De Kuip is therefore skipped.
“It was our wish to practice against a European opponent and a team from South America in the run-up to the World Cup,” national coach Ronald Koeman said four days ago in a KNVB press release. “We succeeded with Norway and Ecuador.”
Before the start of the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States, the Dutch national team will play two more friendly matches. These take place at the end of May and the beginning of June.
