Milan (Olimpia Milano – Panathinaikos 96-89) – In the fifteenth round of the Euroleague in basketball Olimpia Milano achieves their eighth success: within the home walls of the Unipol Forum the red and whites defeat Panathinaikos 96-89, recording the sixth knockout of the Greek team. Armani takes off already at the end of the first half (54-44), led by a sumptuous Brooks: 26 total points of which 20 in the first two periods, with a super 8/14 from three points. Sloukas’ 19 weren’t enough for the guests. The Greeks started better in the first period, putting themselves ahead at 26-21 thanks to an excellent Sloukas. In the second quarter comes Armani’s great little masterpiece: 33 points scored and only 18 conceded, in the name of an extraordinary Brooks. For Armoni, four consecutive triples in the space of just a few minutes, a fury that allowed him to close the first half with 20 points scored. The hosts lead 54-44 at the long break, and when they return to the field things improve: Shields, LeDay and Booker find their way to the basket with continuity, to reach 80-59 with six hundred seconds to go. In the final quarter Sloukas and Nunn were the last to give up among the guests who, however, had to surrender 96-89 at the siren.
