Oklahoma City (United States), 8 December 2025 – Not even the absence of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – who remained in the pits due to a problem with his left elbow – was able to stop the team’s drumming race Oklahoma City Thunder reigning NBA champions who, thanks to an amazing ballistic performance (58% from the field and 50% from three), they swept the Utah Jazz 131-101 obtaining their fifteenth consecutive victory, the twenty-third in twenty-four games played. Everything was extremely easy for OKC which, driven by 25 points each from Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams, pressed on the accelerator pedal already in the first 12 minutes – closed ahead 45-20 – and never stopped, reaching +42. Instead, there is the double stamp of the star duo composed of LeBron James and Luka Doncic on the victory of the Los Angeles Lakers, who beat the Philadelphia 76ers 112-108: the “King” – who a few days ago saw his streak of consecutive games in double figures interrupted after 1297 games and almost 19 years – immediately redeemed himself by taking home a personal haul of 29 points (enhanced by the 5-0 which gave the definitive advantage to the Lakers), while the Slovenian sealed a magical moment like the one linked to the birth of his daughter Olivia with yet another triple double (31 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assist). On the opposite front, however, the last to raise the white flag was Tyrese Maxey, author of 28 points. Staying in the Western Conference, The Denver Nuggets are also smiling, having got the better of the Charlotte Hornets (orphans of six injured players) for 115-106: the Colorado franchise’s route to victory was charted by Jamal Murray (34 points, 23 of which scored in the opening 12 minutes) and Nikola Jokic, who came close to yet another triple double of the season with 28 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds. Victory – the second in a row – also for the Golden State Warriors who, despite still having to deal with the absence of Steph Curry, beat the Chicago Bulls (at the seventh misstep in a row) with a rather clear 123-91: on the shields, among the Californians, Brandin Podziemski with 21 points coming off the bench and Jimmy Butler, who scored 19 on his return to the court after recovering from a knee problem. In the East, however, the Boston Celtics took one of the big games of the night by beating the Toronto Raptors 121-113: the green and whites built their fortunes around a first half that ended with 77 points scored (43 in the second quarter) and an 18-point lead which Toronto then only partially eroded. In great evidence, among the Celtics, Jailen Brown with 30 points and Derrick White with 27 (14 in the opening 12′). Finally, success also for the New York Knicks who, on the wings of the duo of Jalen Brunson (30 points and 9 assists) and Josh Hart (17 points and 12 rebounds), got the better of the Orlando Magic (106-100), while the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 119-96.
