Odunze Injury Update: Bears vs. Lions

Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze did not play against the Cleveland Browns after aggravating a foot injury during pregame warmups.

Odunze was not among the team’s inactive players Sunday, but his withdrawal was later announced. His participation was uncertain after missing last week’s loss to Green Bay.

Odunze participated in training this week and has been dealing with persistent pain in his foot and heel since October. Last week’s game against the Packers was the first he missed in his career.

Odunze’s name began showing up on the Bears’ injury report in October with what was initially listed as a heel injury. The receiver said the injury was “not easy to treat” but that he would monitor it with the Bears medical staff.

Odunze leads the Bears with 44 catches, 661 passing yards and six touchdowns this season.
