Nîmes Arc Club: Taipei Final & Unexpected Success

Two archers from Nîmes shine in Taipei. Victoria Sebastian and Jean-Charles Valladont will compete in the final of the IWS 250 indoor tournament on Sunday. Their partner Baptiste Addis will be in the running for the bronze medal.

Victoria Sebastian and Jean-Charles Valladont, members of the Arc club of Nîmes, will compete on Sunday December 7 in the final of the IWS 250 tournament in Paipei (Taiwan), a competition which marks the opening of the international indoor season.

Sixth in the qualifications, Victoria Sebastian, who notably eliminated 6-2, in the round of 16, the South Korean Chaeyoung Kang, 2025 world champion and team gold medalist in Tokyo, will face another South Korean, Eunah Lee at 3:15 p.m.

Seventh in qualifying, Jean-Charles Valladont, at 3:45 p.m., will face Taiwanese Su Yu-Yang.

Addis eliminates Rio Olympic gold medalist

Eighth in the qualifications, Baptiste Addis, who took out along the way the South Korean Ku Bonchan, first in the qualifications and gold medalist at the Rio Olympics, will enter the shooting range at 3:30 p.m. to play for the bronze medal against the South Korean Jaewoo Heo.

Nîmes sports director, Olivier Grillat is enthusiastic: “We came to Taipei confident, the results went beyond our expectations, it’s magnificent.”
