The Christmas Games are running on the streamer: Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings.
The National Football League will be back in action on December 25th – the two big Christmas games will be on Netflix. The streamer holds worldwide rights to the games between Dallas Cowboys against Washington Commanders (start in German time: 7 p.m.) and Detroit against Minnesota (start in German time: 10:30 p.m.). Parallel to the Netflix broadcast, the two games are also available for Game Pass customers. In Germany, Netflix shows the original broadcast, but has also sold German advertising itself. Netflix has not yet commented in more detail on whether the games will also be commented on in German; in 2024, Flo Hauser and Karim Edebali, among others, were in action.
In addition to the games, Netflix will also broadcast Kelly Clarkson’s show – this is planned as the start of the Christmas game day. In the USA, Netflix has brought in some well-known names for its reporting – they will also be shown in Germany. Ian Eagle, who has regularly presented the NFL for broadcaster CBS since the late 1990s, will commentate on the early game. Eagle is one of the most famous sports voices in the USA, and he has recently also been on the move for Prime Video’s NBA broadcasts. Co-commentator for the game from Washington will be Nate Burleson. He is a former NFL wide receiver. He gained TV experience as host of “Good Morning Football” and through appearances on CBS, where he shaped the halftime report.
In addition to Burleson, Netflix also wants to bet on Matt Ryan and thus a former quarterback (including Atlanta) in the game. He otherwise works as an analyst on Fox’s halftime show.

For the second game, Noah Eagle reports as a commentator from Minnesota – his voice is familiar from NBC, where he mainly covers college football. Co-commentator will be former quarterback Drew Brees (including New Orleans). He otherwise works for Fox and covers NFL games there. Both games are included in the Netflix subscription at an additional cost.
