In the next match, Newcastle United drew with FC Chelsea 2:2. The home team led 2-0 after 20 minutes thanks to two goals by German striker Nick Woltemade, but they did not keep the promising lead.
“The Blues” equalized in the second half with strikes from Reece James and Joao Pedro. The “Magpies” moved to 11th place with 23 points, Chelsea remained in fourth place with 29 points.
