We are looking for participants for the “FE Sports Collaboration Project | Netball x Korfball” which will be held at the Ryukyu Golden Kings match on Sunday, February 1st.

This time, we have been able to hold a sports collaboration event with the cooperation of Nagoya Willows, NAGOYA NETBALL (Nagoya Netball Club), and Nanzan University Netball Team.
We hope that through this collaboration event, you will be able to experience and feel the charm of each sport.

■About netball and korfball
◆Netball
It was created in England in the 1890s as a basketball game for women.
Netball is similar to basketball, but it is a ball game that does not allow dribbling and has separate areas of movement for each player. It is a game where you connect passes and shoot at your team’s goal. There is little contact play, and it is popular all over the world as a lifelong sport that can be enjoyed by men and women of all ages, regardless of their physical strength or physique.

◆Korfball
Korfball is the world’s only official mixed sport, originating from the Netherlands.
It is similar to basketball, but dribbling is prohibited and the game is focused on passing.
The game is played in teams of four men and four men each, and marking of the opposite sex and contact play are prohibited, eliminating the physical disparity between men and women so that everyone can enjoy the game. It’s a ball game in which the ball is thrown into a 3.5m high goal, allowing players to shoot from any 360-degree angle, and is also unique in that it fosters “spatial perception” by raising your head and looking for teammates.
