The NBA released the first official results of the fan vote for the 2026 All-Star Game and, as expected, i Los Angeles Lakers they are immediately protagonists. Luka Dončić it is in fact the most voted player everconfirming himself as the most popular face of the league in this first voting window.
The Slovenian star collected 1,249,518 votesahead of all colleagues and leading the Western Conference. Behind him, in the West, are Nikola Jokić, Stephen Curry, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama.
⭐️ All-Star in yellow-purple shades
In addition to Dončić, the Lakers place two other players in the Top 10 of the Western Conference. LeBron James currently occupies ninth position, while Austin Reaves follows immediately in tenth place.
For the first time since his arrival in Los Angeles, LeBron is not the most voted in the Lakers at this initial stage. A figure that was also influenced by James’ start to the season, affected by the injury that kept him out in the first few weeks. Reaves, for his part, is gathering strong popular support, despite being out due to a calf problem that will keep him out for several more weeks.
In the East, the voting leader is Giannis Antetokounmpo with 1,192,296 votes. Rounding out the Eastern Conference Top 5 are Tyrese Maxey, Jalen Brunson, Cade Cunningham and Donovan Mitchell.
The fans’ vote weighs 50% in choosing the starting five of the All-Star Game. The remaining 50% is split evenly between NBA players and media panel (25% each). In this edition, the selection takes place without distinction of role.
Tuesday 30 December will be the next “3-for-1 Day”, in which each vote cast will be worth triple. The next official voting update is scheduled for Tuesday 6 January.
For the Lakers, the picture is clear: Dončić is already the absolute reference point of the popular vote, while James and Reaves remain fully in the running for the next few weeks.
