People who need a low-stimulus environment and want to visit Museum Kasteel Wijchen are welcome on Saturday, January 10. The museum will then open its doors especially for them between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. It is an evening that is quieter than usual and with as few stimuli as possible.
The museum is open after closing time that day. There will be fewer visitors and incentives have been removed as much as possible. You can use a rest area and chairs to take with you on the route.
Almost the entire castle is accessible: basement, ground floor, first floor and, for those who want, the tower. There is an elevator. This means you can reach all floors, except the tower.
Tower
Visitors can then wander through the cellars, visit the Wedding Room and discover who used to live in Wijchen Castle. On the first floor you can learn more about Emilia van Oranje Nassau, daughter of William of Orange.
Those with good mobility can climb the tower: via narrow stairs you can discover more about the castles in Wijchen and the surrounding area.

On this low-stimulus evening, the rest area is open from 5:30 PM. Normal entrance prices apply, including a cup of coffee or tea. Reservations in advance are necessary. This can be done via the museum website.
