Thomas Müller did not hide his disappointment after losing the MLS final to Inter Miami, but quickly turned his attention to the future. According to him, Vancouver Whitecaps is going through a painful moment, but it can only make him stronger. In an interview with the German magazine Kicker, the German striker, who wore the Bayern jersey relatively recently, emphasized that despite the failure, he sees the team on the rise. And he believes in its further growth.
The Whitecaps lost the title after a two-goal loss to Fort Lauderdale. Müller noted that his team-mates were disappointed as they had long sought the chance to fight for the prized trophy. Only then did he remind that similar losses can act as fuel for the next season. “We are very sad, especially the boys. They have been in this competition for a long time and the title would mean a lot to them,” he said, adding: “He’s suffering a lot now. It’s hard, you can imagine.”

But at the same time, he clearly stated that the team must rise quickly. According to him, it is important for the players to accept the pain and transform it into a new motivation. “Talking about it hurts for a while. But I think we’ll get back up and be back next season,” he said. Even big failures have their own value. “This is what propels you forward a lot in the future,” he said with insight.
Müller sees the Whitecaps as a team that is on the right track. According to him, this is a young, talented and hungry team that was close to a sensational turnaround in Florida. Shortly after the equaliser, the visitors hit the goal structure three times in a few moments, before the home side’s decisive strike came next. “We play with heart. We gave everything, that’s the most important thing” stated “We could easily have won,” he added.
In the new year, Vancouver wants to attack the championship again. Müller has already indicated that he does not expect to leave for another address. And he recently confirmed this via social networks. “I’m very excited to see what comes next year. I’m happy to be a part of this success. Our journey is not over yet.” told fans to look forward to new seasons.

Before returning to training and preparing for the new season, he will soon have the Christmas holidays in his native Germany, which he will use mainly to gain energy. He has previously written that he is looking forward to family, friends or traditional meals. “I always enjoy this Christmas time, including all the goodies. At the very top of my list is gnocchi with cabbage,” he revealed of his favorite of all.
