Benfica struggled to beat Nacional and, at the end of the game, it was visible on the Sport TV images, Mourinho greeting the players and shouting: “This is Benfica, this is Benfica”. Meanwhile, the squad was breathing a sigh of relief, as they were at risk of losing points in Madeira, which would be a serious blow, before the derby, against Sporting. Therefore, it is natural that the party extended to the locker room, where the players were congratulated by Mourinho and Rui Costa for never having thrown in the towel. The coach, in his speech after the end of the game, also made a point of highlighting that he counts on everyone, even if not everyone has the same opportunities.
