Moon In-seo selected as national representative from Jeonju Seongsim Girls’ High School

Moon In-seo, a badminton player from Jeonju Seongsim Girls’ High School, was selected for the national team ahead of her graduation.
She was selected as a member of the women’s doubles national team at the ‘2026 Badminton National Team Selection’ held in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do from the 21st to the 27th.
In addition, it was confirmed that he would join the Jeonbuk Bank badminton team starting in the new year after graduation.
For the women’s doubles national team selection competition, 32 people, including high school, college, and unemployed, were selected based on their scores at the 2025 national competition, divided into two groups, and a total of 8 people, 4 people from each group, were finally selected through the full league match.
Moon In-seo formed a group with Cheon Hye-in from the same school and won the championship as a member of the junior national team at the 2025 German Junior Open Badminton Championships in March, and at the 106th National Sports Festival, he won two consecutive individual doubles and team wins, establishing himself as the next generation Korean badminton player.
In particular, he participated in this tournament wearing the uniform of Jeonbuk Bank (head coach Kim Hyo-seong), whose membership was confirmed, and wore the Taegeuk symbol.
Moon In-seo, who has grown greatly under the guidance of Olympic hero Jeong So-young, who serves as the leader of the badminton team at Seongsim Girls’ High School, has proven that she is the protagonist who will lead Korean badminton through Taejang Elementary School, Seongsim Girls’ Middle School, and Seongsim Girls’ High School.
Moon In-seo said, “I am happy to be selected for the national team after graduating from high school,” and expressed his ambition, “I will work harder in the future to raise the status of Korea and Jeonbuk.”

The Jeonju Seongshim Girls’ High School badminton team was founded in 1984 and has consistently produced the best players in the country.
Jang Hye-ok won a silver medal in women’s doubles at the 26th Atlanta Olympics in 1996, and Shin Seung-chan won a bronze medal in women’s doubles at the 31st Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016 and Shin Seung-chan at the 32nd Tokyo Olympics.
In addition, members of the national team including Seo Yun-hee, Kim Jae-jeong, Kim Seon-mi, Kim Shin-young, Oh Seul-gi, Kim Moon-hee, Cactus Jang, Park A-young, Yang Nak-seon, Kang Ji-young, Jeong Jeong-yoon, and Jeon Seong-suk graduated from Seongshim Girls’ High School.
Players currently playing for the national team include Kim Min-ji and Kim Yu-jeong.
