Monaco vs Nanterre: Double OT Thriller Recap

After a victory and a defeat in the Euroleague, Monaco wanted to end the week with a victory in the LNB.

And it wasn’t easy, because the team coached by Spanoulis had to extend additional time to overcome Nanterre, 105-98, thus winning the match and bringing its record to 10-2 to once again lead the French league.

Mike James once again led the attack for the Monegasques, finishing the game with 34 points and four rebounds. As has often been the case, Elie Okobo was his best partner, adding 27 points.

However, none of them were voted MVP of the game, with that honor going to Mathis Dossou-Yovo, who kept the visitors in the game with 28 points and 12 rebounds.

Although they took a solid lead in the second quarter (37–21), Monaco failed to curb their opponents.

At halftime, the lead was only four points (43-39) and the match became very competitive.

The first forty minutes ended with a score of 74–74. After overtime, the score remained at 88, forcing five additional minutes of play.

In the second overtime, the home team was clearly superior, sealing a tough but ultimately clear victory.
