Angry fans attending Argentina’s famous soccer player Lionel Messi’s tour of India pulled out chairs and threw objects onto the pitch after he appeared at a Kolkata stadium, the BBC reports.

Thousands of fans of the sportsman had paid up to 12,000 rupees to catch a glimpse of the football star but were left disappointed when he appeared to stroll around the pitch in the cream of society. When the football player was taken away after about 20 minutes, some of the spectators became hostile.
