Man Utd Loss: Premier League Reaction

Eleven straight losses in the Premier League.

Then Manchester United were the opposition for Wolves and the third point of the season was a fact.

The home team was booed after VAR drama.

– When you don’t play well with the ball, you get into trouble, says Ruben Amorim.

But Tuesday’s meeting at Old Trafford started on a positive note for Ruben Amorim’s side.

In the 27th minute, Joshua Zirkzee scored the lead goal for the home team. Thus he gave an answer to speech.

– He has the talent, he just has to do the job, Amorim said before the match.

However, Wolves came back just before the break. This through Ladislav Krecji who scored the 1–1 goal.

On that, Zirkzee is replaced.

– We ran around and tried to get hold of the ball. We had problems with their midfielders, and sometimes you can attack better with fewer strikers, says Amorim.

Late VAR drama

The question then was whether Wolves, who are jumbo in the Premier League before the game having recorded two points in 18 games, would manage to hold off and secure a point?

It didn’t look like that.

Because in the 90th minute, Danish Patrick Dorgu poked a rebound into the net on Benjamin Sesko’s shot. The only problem was that he was in an offside position.

But the assistant referee raised the flag and the offside was confirmed by the VAR room

Thus the match ended 1–1 and Wolves took the third point of the season after eleven straight losses.

– We had a tough time throughout the match. We lacked creativity and we must have more imagination, we lacked that today, says Ruben Amorim.

“Can’t change it”

Manchester United were booed after the final whistle.

– We didn’t play well. When you don’t play well with the ball, you get in trouble without it… this game is over. we cannot change the result.

Jonas Olsson was not convinced.

– At home at Old Trafford, against the opposition, you can demand more, says the Viaplay expert.

On Sunday, Manchester United face Leeds.
