The Colegio Alcalde Rafael Cedrés de Tías became the epicenter of training basketball in Lanzarote last Saturday, with the celebration of the 29th edition of the Minibasket Festival, organized by CD Magec Tías. A day intended entirely for the youngest categories, where coexistence, learning and passion for the game were the true protagonists.
From the early hours of the morning, boys and girls from different teams began to arrive at the educational facility to enjoy an unforgettable day. Teams belonging to CB Conejero, CB Tizziri Tinajo, CD Lanzabasket, CB Haría, CDB Tagoror and the host, CD Magec Tías, participated, who shared a multitude of games in an atmosphere marked by camaraderie and joy.
The school, pre-minibasket, minibasket, pre-benjamín and benjamín categories had the opportunity to live an enriching experience, in which the result took a backseat to the true objective: enjoying basketball. The involvement of families was also essential, since parents and companions filled the stands with animation and support, contributing to creating a perfect day that is difficult to match.
CD Magec Tías wanted to express its gratitude to all the invited clubs for accepting the proposal and participating in this traditional sports celebration, as well as for the exemplary behavior shown both on and off the field. The club highlights that activities like this reinforce essential values at an early age, such as coexistence, continuous learning and the spirit of the game.
Likewise, the red and black entity wants to convey a special recognition to the Sports Department of the Tías City Council and, in particular, to its councilor, Ismael Cruz, whose involvement was key for the organization of the event to take place without setbacks and with all the details taken care of.
CD Magec Tías takes the opportunity to express its satisfaction with the success of this edition and express its desire to repeat the experience next season, in which the Minibasket Festival will celebrate its 30 years of history. An event that, without a doubt, will continue to consolidate itself as a benchmark for grassroots basketball in Lanzarote and as an essential meeting point for the development of minibasketball on the island.
