It was also money time again in the Challenger Pro League on Sunday. Stijn Stijnen’s Patro Eisden went to Lokeren in a match that was full of events, but ultimately did not produce a winner.
Patro couldn’t have started much better, after being awarded a penalty in the opening minutes. Peeters converted it flawlessly, but the next phase in particular caused emotions to run high.
M’barki kicked the ball hard against Lokeren goalkeeper Troost. He immediately went to tell the story and the dolls started dancing. It gave M’barki red and Lokeren a numerical superiority for the rest of the match.
Lokeren also gets red
But Lokeren was also reduced to ten in the first half. Van Aerschot was allowed to take a shower and everything was again in balance as far as the number of players on the field was concerned.
In the meantime, Lokeren was still 0-1 in debt, but in the absolute end they still received a reward for their work. Brrou kicked in hard and set the final score at 1-1. Disappointed for Patro, which had killed several good chances to score 0-2.
At the end of the match, Patro coach Stijn Stijnen received a second yellow and therefore red card for protest, resulting in a total of three red cards for Daknam. Both teams are not making much progress in the standings. Patro is seventh with 29 points, Lokeren ninth with 24 points.
