Lisa Moosbrugger: Badminton Gold Haul

Three starts, three titles: Lisa Moosbrugger impressively used her home advantage at the Austrian Badminton School Championships in Egg and won gold in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

Almost 100 young badminton players from seven federal states met in the sports hall of the Egg middle school to determine the titles in the U11, U13 and U15 age groups at the Austrian Badminton School Championships. The tournament returned to the Bregenzerwald after a year-long break with a high sporting level and exciting encounters.

The U15 player Lisa Moosbrugger from UBSC Wolfurt attracted particular attention. She secured three gold medals in her age group: in the singles, in the doubles with the Carinthian Pia Zhan and in the mixed doubles with Moritz Bürger from 1. BC Fußach. A remarkable achievement that highlights her extraordinary talent.

Vorarlberg scores several times

In addition to Moosbrugger, other Vorarlberg players were also able to celebrate medals. David Marte (1. BC Fußach) won silver in the singles and doubles in the U11 class together with Riku Seewald (BSV Hohenems). In the U13 category, Anna Ferschitz (BC Bregenz) won gold in doubles with Sarah Heissenberger (Graz), as well as two bronze medals in singles and mixed doubles with Benjamin Heinzle (UBSC Wolfurt). Bronze also went to Peijin Wu and Xenia Hann from BC Bregenz in the U13 doubles and to Moritz Bürger in the U15 doubles with his Austrian partner Louis Liu.

The performances shown give rise to a lot of expectations for the coming years, not least from the three-time student champion Lisa Moosbrugger.
