In a catastrophic start to the season at the Kings, Zach LaVine has just reminded the entire NBA – and in particular the Miami Heat – that he remains one of the most talented scorers in the League: 42 points at 8/13 by far last night!
Roller coaster performance, nailed to the bench several times by Doug Christie in the money-time, messing with a fan of the Kings, successive defeats, transfer rumors… Zach LaVine’s start to the season could hardly have gone in a worse way. But for one evening in South Beach, the Sacramento back shined.

Author of his best game of the season, Zach LaVine led the Kings to a surprise victory in Miami (127-111). LaVine took out all his frustration on one of the five best defenses in the NBA, aggressive and skillful from the jump (29 points in the first half). A total contrast with his previous performance (2 points to 1/5 shooting against Houston).
“I want to give my all and be aggressive in a lot of games, but sometimes it doesn’t work out that way and you just have to try to help the team win. Tonight I was in good shape and just tried to give us a boost. We really needed this victory. » – Zach LaVine
Sometimes little involved offensively this season, LaVine matched his highest total of attempts last night in Miami, and this aggressiveness paid off.
Not sure that this is enough to put a smile on the faces of Sacramento fans, but at least the Kings proved that they still know how to win a basketball game. That’s already it.
Zach LaVine has the 5th most games in NBA history with 40+ PTS & 8+ 3PM.
