FSV Mainz 05 expresses interest in Lion Lauberbach from Belgian first division club KV Mechelen. The 27-year-old left-footer is a candidate, reported ‘DAZN’ commentator Marco Hagemann in the wake of Rheinhessen’s strong 2-2 draw at FC Bayern. Lauberbach has scored six goals in 18 games this season.
The Mainz team is missing a real goalscorer after the departure of Jonathan Burkardt (25). Homegrown player Nelson Weiper (20) is still waiting for his breakthrough and ten million new signing Benedict Hollerbach (24) is also looking in vain for his past form.
