Latvian crews Mārtiņš Bots/Roberts Plūme and Anda Upīte/Madara Pavlova won the third place in the mixed pairs competition for crews on the Vinterberg track of the World Cup in luge on Friday, while ours took fifth and sixth place in the singles competition.

In the doubles, the winners were the Germans Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt and Jesika Degenhardt/Cheyenne Rosenthal, who spent one minute and 34.470 seconds on the track.
They were 0.071 seconds ahead of the second Austrian team with crews Thomas Steijs/Wolfgang Kindl and Selīna Egle/Lara Kipa, while the third place was taken by Mārtiņš Bots/Roberts Plūme and Anda Upīte/Madara Pavlova, who covered the track in one minute and 35.078 seconds.
Eduards Ševics-Mikelševics/Lukas Krasts and Marta Robežniece/Kitija Bogdanova covered the course in 36.071 seconds, losing 1.601 seconds to the winners and taking seventh place among 11 teams. Robežniece/Bogdanova made the mistake of slipping at the bottom of the track, but managed to do so without falling.
In the lower part of the track, the main favorites Germans Toni Eggerts and Florians Millers fell and did not finish.
Austrians Jonas Müller and Lisa Schulte became the winners in the mixed pairs solo races, who covered the course in one minute and 41.510 seconds, 0.123 seconds ahead of the German duo Felix Loh and Julia Taubitz and 0.528 seconds ahead of compatriots Wolfgang Kindl and Hanna Prock.
Germany’s second team took fourth place (+0.619), while Latvians took fifth and sixth place. Kristers Aparjod and Elīna Ieva Bota lost 0.682 seconds to the winners, taking the fifth place, while Gints Bērzins and Kendija Aparjod took the sixth place in the 17 duet competition, losing 1.127 seconds to the winners.
