Latvian Football Star: New Club After Korea Exit

Gutkovskis signed an agreement with “Arka” until the end of the next season.

In November, the Latvian footballer announced that he would not continue to represent the South Korean team “Citizen”, which he joined in the summer of 2023. Gutkovski played a total of 31 games for Daejeon in South Korea’s strongest league, scoring six goals.

While representing “Citizen”, the player of the Latvian national team recovered from the rupture of the cruciate ligaments of the knee and the ankle injury, which prevented him from playing on the field for a long time.

Before moving to South Korea, Gutkowski represented the Polish extra league team Częstochowa “Rakow” for three seasons, with whom he won the Polish championship. During his career, he also played in another Polish club “Termalica” from ņeceč, as well as in the Latvian team “Skonto” from Riga.

“Arka” with 21 points in 18 games is in 12th position in the Polish championship table.
