Lakers Rookie Robbery: NFL Star’s Brother Suspect

The start of his NBA careerAdou Thiero has just experienced an improbable episode to say the least. The Los Angeles Lakers rookie had his SUV stolen over the weekend in Los Angeles, a case that quickly took an unexpected media turn.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, two men were arrested after taking the young winger’s vehicle without his consent. The investigation led authorities to the One Hotel in West Hollywood, where the SUV was located using a tracking system. The suspects allegedly valeted the car before entering the establishment, without realizing that they were already in the sights of the police.

Analysis of video surveillance images made it possible to quickly identify the individuals, who were arrested shortly afterwards. Among them is Samson Nacua, 27, brother of Puka Nacua, star receiver for the Los Angeles Rams and one of the NFL revelations of last season. The second suspect is Trey Rose, also 27 years old.

The two men are being prosecuted for taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and currently remain incarcerated. Authorities did not specify when or under what exact circumstances the SUV was stolen.
