KV Mechelen is the best away team in the Jupiler Pro League this season. With the victory over Cercle Brugge, the Kakkers picked up 17 points from 9 away games, more than any other team.

Malinwa performs excellently, especially when away from home. Outside Mechelen, they scored 14 goals in nine games and managed to score in every away match, it was noted HLN on. This means they leave top clubs such as Club Brugge, Union and Anderlecht behind them.
The story is different on home field. Behind De Kazerne, the Kakkers collected 13 points from nine home games and scored ten times. That is mediocre compared to their away performances.

The consistency outdoors is striking. KV Mechelen scored in every away match, from Genk to Anderlecht and from Liège to De Bosuil. That makes them the only team in the first division with goals in every away match.
With 30 points from 18 matches, KV Mechelen is firmly in the top six. Their productivity away from home puts them in a strong position for the remaining competition and makes them one of the surprises of this season.
