Kumbedi to Wolfsburg: Lyon Confirm Transfer

The German club has exercised the purchase option for the full-back who arrived on loan this summer.

Lyon announced on Monday that it had permanently transferred its full-back Saël Kumbedi for six million euros to the German club Wolfsburg, where he had been on loan since this summer and which exercised the purchase option. To this sum can be added two million euros in bonuses and a 10% profit-sharing on the capital gain in the event of a future transfer, specifies the OL press release.

Arriving in 2023 from Le Havre, where he was trained, Kumbedi, an under-21 international, played 62 matches with Olympique Lyonnais, in all competitions (5 assists). With Wolfsburg, he participated in ten matches including nine in the Bundesliga and gave four assists.
