Eldar Šehič (25) has already spoken openly about his imminent departure from Baník Ostrava, and now Patrick Kpozo (28) may also be hinting at his end. The left defender summed up his two-and-a-half-year engagement in Baník Ostrava on social networks and is looking forward to what fate has in store for him.
Kpozo was close to a transfer to Russian Krasnodar during last summer, but the transfer ultimately fell through. The player himself was sorry, he turned the fans of the Ostrava team against him with his statement at the time.
Instead of leaving, the Ghanaian full-back eventually signed a new contract that expires at the end of next year. However, Kpozo may not last that long in Baník.
InFotbal already reported two weeks ago that full-back Baníkem was placed on the transfer list.
“Mission accomplished. I came to the Czech Republic two years ago and promised to get Baník to Europe. And we did that two years in a row thanks to top performances,” wrote Kpozo on the X social network.
“Now the season is coming to an end and I’m looking forward to what fate has in store for me,” added the 28-year-old footballer.
So far in the current season, Kpozo has played in twelve competitive matches and scored two goals. Under coach Galásk, he only got a chance at the end of the duel with Slavia.
