The New York Knicks won the 2025 NBA Cup, beating the San Antonio Spurs 124-113 in the final in a match staged in Las Vegas.
After three balanced quarters, coach Thibodeau’s team took control of the match, led by OG Anunoby (28 points) and Jalen Brunson (25), the true protagonists of the success.
The contribution of Karl-Anthony Towns was also important, author of 16 points and 11 rebounds, despite a calf injury that limited his playing time. Above all, it was the dominance under the basket that made the difference: the rebound count was 59-42 in favor of New York, a figure that had an impact in the second half.
With this success, the Knicks enter the competition’s roll of honor, in its third edition, after the triumphs of the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023 and the Milwaukee Bucks in 2024.
As per the rules, each winning player collects an extra prize of $318,560.
An important victory, which certifies the growth of the Knicks project and gives New York a trophy that has been missing for some time, although not officially comparable to the NBA title.
