L’Antwerp a du retard sur Anderlecht

In recent weeks, Kindermans has been tipped for a return to Anderlecht, but he seems to be focusing 100% on his job at Antwerp. He feels good there, but sees a significant difference with Neerpede, which is, of course, a leading European training center. He explained these differences in more detail.

“The difference? The amount of talent available. At the club where I worked (Anderlecht), you walked into the locker room and they were all sitting side by side. The boys motivated each other to improve every day, to try to be the best at 16, 17, 18 years old, depending on their maturity, their position and the competition, to get into the first team.”

A promising future

Antwerp also has a pool of promising young talents, but not yet as large as Anderlecht. The club still has a way to go in this regard, which is understandable. Kindermans also sees a promising future for Matricule 1.

“Antwerp is a club that has played in the second division for a long time, which explains why its training center is not the best in Belgium. The number of young talents in our teams is therefore more limited than in other clubs. This, however, allows us to work with great precision with these young talents.”
