The Korean Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (KBJJF) held the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) Rules Seminar (Rules Seminar) and Recognized Referee Training Program (Refere Training Program) on December 6, 2025 at the Ziyunbong Hall on the 16th floor of Dobong-gu Hall, Seoul.
This official seminar and referee training program was personally conducted by Pedro Enrique Ahuda Cabraw, who took office as the referee chairman of the International Brazilian Judo Federation in 2019, in real-time online and face-to-face education.
Pedro Enrique Ajuda Cabralo (Brazil) served as a mixed martial arts (MMA) head coach at the Taiwanese gym “UFC Jim Taiwan” until June 2018, and is a senior leader of Grapling who understands Asia.
All speeches made by IBJJF Referee Chairman Pedro Enrique Ahuda Cabralo were translated into Korean for the benefit of the attendees at the Jaeunbong Hall of Dobong District Office. After the training, understanding was assessed through a written test.
Founded in 1994, IBJJF is the world’s largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu international federation. The organization has held 508 international competitions in 77 cities in 25 countries on five continents, demonstrating the global standards of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Since its birth in 2009, KBJJF (President Lee Seung-jae) has hosted and managed ▲IBJJF International Competition 3 times, ▲IBJJF Official Seminar 9 times, ▲24 Korean Open National Competitions.
Pedro Enrique Ahuda Cabrao, Chairman of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Referees Committee, said, “The enthusiasm for the seminar to learn the IBJJF rules was very high. I really left a good impression on Korea.”
Lee Seung-jae, president of the Korean Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, said: “I am very grateful to everyone who helped me organize International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation events in Korea. KBJJF referees will lay the foundation for IBJJF competition activities overseas. We will be well prepared to make Dobong-gu, Seoul, an important base for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts culture.”
KBJJF conveyed a plaque of thanks to Seoul Special City Council member Lee Kyung-sook, saying, “We have been paying close attention to the bid for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu International Competition and overall activities, contributing to the development of sports and martial arts culture in Dobong-gu and the revitalization of the area, and supporting the activities of the alliance in terms of administration and policy.”
Seoul Special City Councilor Lee Kyung-sook of Dobong-gu 1st Ward said, “I received a glorious thank you plaque from KBJJF President Lee Seung-jae. We will illuminate the future of sports in our region and work together for the success of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu International Competition.”

This international Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation regulations seminar and recognized referee course education UMUST R&D Co., Ltd. (representative Lee Kang-bo) helped the planning and operation of the Korean Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation.
KBJJF expressed its gratitude to UMUST R&D Co., Ltd., saying, “It has also played the role of a partner that adds practical motivation in the process of preparing for the bid to host future international competitions.”
The Korean Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation and UMUST R&D explained, “With Dobong-gu as the center, we will jointly formulate a medium- and long-term cooperation concept to connect international competitions and martial arts cultural festivals with the expansion of regional economic tourism and youth sports participation.”
