Two days before the reception in Louvain, Vincent Euvrard took stock of the Standard infirmary at a press conference. Ibrahim Karamoko is available again, Boli Bolingoli could join the group, but Mohammed El Hankouri’s year 2025 is probably over.
After his painful victory at Cercle de Bruges, Vincent Euvrard was present at a press conference this Wednesday, before the meeting between Standard and Louvain, scheduled for Friday evening. T1 des Rouches took stock of the infirmary, starting with the good news.
“Boli Bolingoli and David Bates are training with the group and will continue to do so. It will probably still be too short for Bates, but Bolingoli could be in the selection. We are considering him to come into play, but he could also go with the U23s this weekend to get some playing time. For his part, Ibrahim Karamoko is back.”
Year 2025 over for Mohammed El Hankouri?
The Rouches infirmary is not really emptying, however, since Ibrahim Karamoko is digitally replaced there by Mohammed El Hankouri, who had given up his place at the Cercle and who is indeed physically affected.
“He will be absent for two or three weeks, he suffered a small muscle injury against Cercle. In addition, Daan Dierckx and Marlon Fossey are still absent,” regrets Vincent Euvrard, while Casper Nielsen, also the victim of a little physical problem, is uncertain.
“He had a reaction in his calf after playing three games in a week. We are in the calculation regarding him. Do we put him in taking a risk? How much of a risk is it? It is a point of doubt.”

A general observation of the forces present which therefore does not entirely delight Vincent Euvrard, whose core has never been calm with physical problems since his arrival to replace Mircea Rednic. The Standard coach would like to have a complete core, but is not so lucky.
“Overall, these are far from the ideal circumstances to build a competitive core. I would like to know how much this core could grow if we have everyone at 100% for several consecutive weeks. However, it is not my job to complain but to look for solutions and be competitive against Louvain,” concluded Vincent Euvrard.
