LAHORE – The second day of the Junior National Badminton Championships Lahore 2025 witnessed intense competition as pre-quarterfinal matches across various age categories remained in progress, highlighting emerging talent from across the country. Players from Punjab, KP, Islamabad, Army, Wapda, SNGPL, Sindh, Balochistan and AJK delivered impressive performances in singles and doubles events, advancing closer to the knockout stages. In the women’s and girls’ categories, dominant wins were recorded in U-21 and U-17 singles, with several matches ending in straight games, reflecting a clear display of skill and preparation. The men’s events also produced gripping encounters, particularly in the U-19 and U-21 singles, where players showed resilience in closely fought three-game matches.
Young shuttlers from KP and Punjab stood out with consistent performances, while Islamabad and Army players also made notable progress.
Women’s doubles U-19 fixtures added further excitement, as well-coordinated pairs advanced with confident wins, underlining the growing depth in Pakistan’s junior badminton circuit. Late-night matches in boys’ U-15 and U-17 rounds added to the busy schedule, ensuring a packed day of badminton action.
