J&K Ball Badminton Association completes selection trials for players

SRINAGAR: The J&K Ball Badminton Association successfully conducted the selection trials for the J&K Junior National Ball Badminton Boys & Girls Team 2025-26 at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar. The trials were held in preparation for the 70th Junior National Ball Badminton Championship 2025-26 for Boys & Girls, scheduled to be held at Erode, Tamil Nadu, from January 28, 2025, to February 01, 2026.

The trials were conducted under the supervision of the J&K Sports Council Officials & Selection Committee of the J&K Ball Badminton Association. Key officials from J&K Sports Council present as observers included:

Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar (Incharge Manager Bakshi Stadium)

Mr. Maqsood Khan (Deputy Manager SKISC Srinagar),

Mr. Shafqat Ahmad (Incharge City Play Field (Judo Coach) &

Mr. Dilbagh Singh (Manager, Gindun Sports Stadium, Rajbagh Srinagar)

Selection Committee Members:

Mrs. Arsheena Malik, General Secretary J&K Ball Badminton Association & Vice President Ball Badminton Federation of India

Mr. Mudasir Qayoom, Sr. Vice President J&K Ball Badminton Association.

Mr. Mohsin Farooq, Vice President J&K Ball Badminton Association.

After a detailed evaluation process, 15 boys and 15 girls were shortlisted from a pool of 20 participants each. These players will now undergo a 21-day residential coaching camp at Gindun Sports Stadium Raj Bagh Srinagar. At the conclusion of the camp, the final squad of 10 boys and 10 girls will be announced to represent J&K at the National Championship.

The J&K Ball Badminton Association congratulated all the selected players and extended its best wishes, expressing full confidence in their ability to deliver outstanding performances at the national level.
