Dhe Judo Tigers are returning to the Mödling district. For mastermind Thomas Haasmann, the focus is on the Olympics.

Two weeks after winning the championship, judo figurehead Thomas Haasmann is already looking ahead. This is a special circle for the experienced trainer and former top athlete. “’84 was my first World Championships in Los Angeles. Now the Olympics are back in Los Angeles, so it’s come full circle and has something very special for me,” says Haasmann. The goals are formulated accordingly clearly: Four athletes from our own team should make it to the 2028 Olympic Games: “That is the big goal and we are working towards it now.” At the same time, there is also an important structural step to be taken. The team moves from Vienna to Brunn or to the Federal Sports Center Südstadt. “From Vienna we are now moving back to Brunn. There is the Galaxy and we will also train there in the future or at the Federal Sports Center Südstadt,” explains Haasmann. The conditions there are optimal, you also avoid annoying bureaucracy and receive funding directly from the state.
