SANTO DOMINGO.- The general assembly of the Dominican Judo Federation (Fedojudo) declared
as a “great commitment” the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo that will be held from July 24 to August 8 of next year in the country.
Furthermore, the president of Fedojudo, Mr. Gilberto García, predicted that the organization he directs
The goal is to win at least 10 medals in the regional multi-sport event.
The proposals, which were part of the report of the president of Fedojudo at the annual ordinary meeting held on Sunday, were unanimously supported by the associations with the right to speak and vote affiliated with the entity.
“All our energy will be directed to the preparation and concentration of our athletes for the Central American and Caribbean Games.
This will be our priority for 2026. After August 8, we will continue our work plan,” said Mr. García.
The head of Fedojudo described 2025 as a year of great achievements, after citing the success in the II Games
Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguaya, as well as the XXV Bolivarian Games Ayacucho-Lima, as well as the results in the children’s, cadet and youth categories at the international level. “This result is due to the teamwork we carried out,” he declared.
