Jokic’s Historic Christmas Performance: NBA Records Broken

Nikola Jokic is at his zenith: on the night of Thursday to Friday, the Denver Nuggets pivot achieved success and yet another record statistic. With 56 points scored, 16 rebounds captured and 15 assists delivered, the 30-year-old Serbian manhandled the Minnesota Timberwolves on Christmas Day.

According to the NBA, a player has never compiled at least 55 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists in the same game. Denver also won at the end of overtime, at the end of a spectacular encounter (142-138).

While he has already been elected MVP (best player of the regular season) three times since the start of his career (2021, 2022, 2024), Nikola Jokic is on track to do it again this year. The interior averages 29.8 points per game, 12.1 rebounds and 11 assists.

His Nuggets team is also third in the Western Conference, just behind Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs.

The Frenchman also celebrated Christmas with a prestigious success against Oklahoma, the reigning champion (117-102).
