Jitae Team: 23 Medals at Korea Ambassador’s Cup

On November 29, an international taekwondo competition was held in Riga – Ambassador’s Cup of the Republic of Korea 2025. Young athletes from Latvia and Lithuania took part in it. The “Jitae” team from Daugavpils won a total of 23 medals in two disciplines.

Loss the team won 19 awards in the discipline:

  • Adrian Emelyanov (Minis Male-B -24), Emil Romanovski (Youths Male-A -27), Svetozar Fyodorov (Minis Male-B -33) and Nils Presnyakov (Youths Male-A -33) won four gold medals.
  • Silver positions were secured by nine athletes with stable performance: Daniil Arzyaev (Youths Male-A -36), Lukyan Davydov (Youths Male-A -27), Daniels Davydov (Cadets Male-A -45), Kiril Gordilenko (Youths Male-B -44), Mikhail Ivanov (Cadets Male-A -49), Rodion Kurgansky (Youths Male-A -33), Alisia Shevelkina (Cadets Female-A +59), Emil Viktorovs (Youths Male-B -33) and Romans Logovskis (Youths Male-A -40).
  • Bronze medals were won by Danila Fatḫudinovs (Cadets Male-B -49), Arina Krutogolyova (Youths Female-B -44), Yevgenii Nikolayevs (Youths Male-A -30), Zlata Olenova (Youths Female-B -30), Maksims Romanovskis (Cadets Male-A -45) and Emils Romanovskis in the second category (Minis Male-B -27).

Poomsae four teams won in the discipline:

  • Eilina Zhulibina achieved the highest result, winning the first place.
  • Lukyans Davidovs and Emils Romanovskis received silver medals.
  • The third place was won by Alisa Zaburdayeva.

The Republic of Korea Ambassador’s Cup became an important event for the Jitae team. The 23 medals obtained are proof of targeted training and the individual growth of each athlete. The Daugavpils team successfully showed that it is capable of being ready for tournaments of various levels, competing also with international opponents.

The season continues with an intense competition schedule. Already in December, the team has the Latvian Technical Championship, the “Jitae” cup and qualification exams ahead of them. In them, the athletes will have the opportunity to consolidate the achieved results and continue the progress towards higher success.
