Jesus to Milan? Arsenal Striker Linked with January Transfer

Earlier this week, Jesus finally returned to action for Arsenal after almost a year out when he came on as a substitute in their Champions League match against Club Brugge. The Brazilian forward played the final 30 minutes but looked impressive on his return.

Follow comebackinto competitive football, Jesus told Arsenal.com: “In the first three months, I had a lot of doubts in my head, and then I was able to focus more on what God wanted from me. Everyone expected me to score, and obviously, I wanted to score.”

“I had a few chances, but even with that, I’m very happy and satisfied, because to come back and then get some touches like tonight, then the way I move, the way I hold the ball… So with 11 months of fighting on my own and then being afraid to come back, maybe with some limitations, just to walk out and play with the guys, I’m very happy. I feel more than ready. So, I’m here to say God saved my life.”

Mikel Arteta was also delighted to welcome the return of his star forward as the manager said: “I think he brings something else, and I’m really happy to see that. Gabi has a very special quality, which is that he suddenly connects everyone around him, and that’s something we as a team need, and that will make us better.”

“Very happy for him, I think you can see how much we all love him. It’s been a very, very difficult and long journey. For 11 months he battled another very difficult injury and to see him come back with that smile, with that energy and with that quality in his first appearance with us was something very impressive and we’re all happy for him.”
