The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has given the Australian Ray Gibilible the award for the best tennis photography of 2025 by perfectly framing the face of Jasmine Paolini with the strings of his racket in a match US Open.
The eyes, nose and mouth of the Italian player are seen through the strings, taking advantage of the spaces reserved for the signature logo on her racket, a coincidence so exact that it has given Ray Giubilo the first prize of the ITF, endowed with a monetary prize of 3,000 dollars, about 2,500 euros.

The Australian photographer took the snapshot during the US Open 1st round match between Paolini and Destanee Aiavaended with a victory for the Italian, who lost against the Czech Marketa Vondrousova in the 3rd round of the last Grand Slam of the season.
“This year we received entries from 37 countries, reflecting both the reach of our sport and the many ways in which tennis can be experienced and captured. The winning image stood out for its originality, precision and narrative,” explained ITF President, David Haggertywho formed the jury together with the former Spanish tennis player Garbiñe Muguruza and the photographer Paul Zimmer.

Frenchman Loic Wacziak took second prize of the ITF for a photograph of his compatriot Corentin Moutet in which he loses a shoe trying to hit Alexander Bublik in the Paris Masters 1,000.
