What are the biggest benefits of living in the Giant Mountains?
“Fresh air. Nature, of course. And peace. I think the best things come to you in that silence, because you’re able to sort of detach yourself from your problems and worries. You’re able to have a lot more perspective. The older I get, the more important I think it is. And somehow you’re able to accept life more.”
Is walking your three dogs, one of which is a famous rescued bulldog who was also in the Senate, still a source of great relaxation for you?
“Unfortunately, she is no longer alive.”
I enjoyed playing the journalist Iveta, says Jana Stryková
I’m sorry, sorry.
“No, that’s fine. I have another dog, Gustavo, a rescue, and two more border collies. And of course I got up early in the morning and went hiking. That’s for sure.”
Your son turned eleven this March. Does he show any artistic inclinations and ambitions?
He’d certainly have someone to look after, considering you, your husband, and your famous great-grandfather. “It doesn’t seem that way yet. We’ll see. I’m not forcing him to do anything. He’s doing what he likes. So he’s more into sports than he’s interested in art. So it doesn’t seem that way yet.”
You recently revealed to him that he likes to play computer games. Does this still apply?
“Unfortunately. I hope he gets over it soon. Of course it’s restricted and forbidden. And it’s a struggle.”
At eleven, it’s certainly early to ask about a future career idea, but does he have dreams and aspirations that he shares with you? Where do you see yourself in ten, fifteen years?
“You should probably ask him, but I’m afraid he hasn’t really fleshed out his dreams yet. They’re ideas of wanting to work on a computer. That’s just the virtual reality that all kids at this age are close to. But I’d say he doesn’t know what he’s talking about yet.”
