Kortrijk/Meerkerk – Isis Versluis has won her second victory among the juniors. On Saturday, the cyclocross rider from Meerkerk was the strongest in the Exact Cross in Kortrijk, Belgium.
After a fall in the second round, Isis had to along the river Leie from place 9 in pursuit, but after a lap and a half the connection was made again. She took a lap to recover, only to open up a gap in the final lap on the oblique side together with the Belgian Zita Peeters.
Just before the sandbank, Isis Versluis accelerated again and that turned out to be enough for the victory.
From 2026, De Meerkerk will be part of the Cube Next Generation Team for mountain biking. For the time being, she will continue to play for her club RC Jan van Arckel on the road and in the field.
