Indra Sjafri on Philippines Goal & Player Performance

“The first match was tough, because they (the Philippines) came with their first win, and they played quite well. The results were not good for us, and to be honest the players were not what we expected,” said Indra.

“It’s very unfortunate that at the end of the first half there was a throw-in by the Philippines, and that caused us to concede. It’s very unfortunate, it means the players didn’t match what we practiced yesterday, regarding whose players were guarding whom.”

“In the second half, we tried to change players, and also change the formation. We were able to control the game, but there were several opportunities we couldn’t take advantage of [dengan baik].”
