Indonesia SEA Games Gold Medals: Vietnam Overtaken

Indonesia adding to the gold medal tally SEA Games 2025 to 31 pieces. The Red-White Team shifted Vietnam from second position.

Indonesia won quite a lot of gold on the fourth day of the 2025 SEA Games, Saturday (13/12/2025), namely 11 from various sports. The final gold was won by the men’s tennis team led by Christopher Rungkat after beating Thailand in the final.

A similar record was also made by the women’s tennis team led by Aldila Sutjiadi who won 2-1 over the hosts. Badminton has confirmed one additional gold through the All Indonesia Final in the men’s singles event, Alwi Farhan vs Muhammad Zaki Ubaidillah.

From rock climbing, Indonesia won two gold medals in speed climbing in the names of Puja Lestari and Antasyafi Robby Al Hilmi. Then there was also athletics, after Maria Londa beat home athlete Parinya Chuaimaroeng, who won silver.

A gold medal was also won by Arya Danu Susilo who triumphed in the men’s 74kg Taekwondo event. It was the 25th gold for Indonesia.

After that there were also other successes from the Judo branch. The 26th gold medal for Indonesia was presented by I Made Sastra Dharma in the men’s 90kg event.

Thus, Indonesia has 31 gold, 45 silver and 39 bronze medals to shift Vietnam from second place in the 2025 SEA Games Medal Standings. Vietnam has 30 gold, 27 silver and 53 bronze.

Thailand as the host is still dominant at the top of the standings with 94 gold, 59 silver and 35 bronze.

Indonesia still has a long way to go, or to be precise until December 20. The athletes still have to struggle to collect 49 more gold medals to achieve the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ target of 80 gold.

Indonesia participated in 49 sports out of the 51 sports contested at the 33rd SEA Games. In the previous edition, Indonesia ranked third with a total of 87 gold medals.
